DWAY at a Glance
DWAY is a company that promotes entrepreneurship education and entrepreneurial experience. It particularly takes care of a perspective in which the individual interest coincides with that of the community. It works for and with educational organizations, associations of entrepreneurs, cultural foundations, employment centers.
To address the tensions that have arisen over time, a skills and resilience agenda has been proposed in many states to “equip” citizens and organizations to meet the demand for innovation and adaptation. Entrepreneurship Education has thus assumed a significant role in the Skills Agenda of the European Union, convinced of the numerous benefits of spreading this culture and expertise.
Entrepreneurship is a competence for life
Being creative or thinking about how to do things in new ways is equally relevant to tackling social issues, progressing your career or coming up with new business ideas. Taking the initiative, mobilising others and getting them on board with your idea are useful skills when fundraising for your local sports team, or designing a community action to tackle climate change. Understanding how to put a plan into action and use finances wisely are relevant for your own life and for business planning in a small or medium-sized company (SME).
Studies suggest that, compared to their peers, EE alumni are at lower risk of unemployment, they earn more and are more often in leadership positions. Moreover, young people trained with EE are more likely to set up their own companies. Businesses started by people who received entrepreneurship training were also found to be more ambitious.
DWAY for over 20 years has been a pioneer in opening ways for innovation in the growth of citizens and organizations. With its commitment to entrepreneurship, it wants to be an ally of public operators (local administrations, job centers, schools, universities, chambers of commerce) and private bodies (corporations, foundations, associations, social cooperatives), allowing citizens to nurture their personal development, to actively contribute to social development, to enter the job market as employee or as self-employed, and to start-up or scale-up ventures which may have a cultural, social or commercial motive.
Dway – Development Way
DWAY born in 1998 in Veneto region in the southern east of Italy. Ten years later, in 2008, it has a decidedly European character with offices in London, Germany and Italy and the involvement of stakeholders from the main cultural areas of the world.
The founders of DWAY, at the time of its establishment, are Italian and German, the CEO was Zeffiro Magnani for a long time until he left the cultural heritage of DWAY to a new and more diversified participation of associates. Evolution then leads the company to assume a network of communities around the world to better respond to the present complexity.
